Fleurotica 2010

Fleurotica hits the runway once again at the Garfield Park Conservatory, dazzling both fashionistas and flower enthusiasts on Friday, March 26th. The reception takes place from 6:30 – 10 p.m. and the fashion show will begin at 7:30 p.m.  

Heralded as a botanical fashion show of the century, guests will be treated to a variety of artistic floral interpretations in wraps and clothing, hats and more, all made from flowers, plants and leaves. The runway soiree is a collaborative event between the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance, Chicago-area florists, and students from the School of the Art Institute’s Millinery Department. Participating florists include Fleur, Dilly Lily, Tulipia, Flower Child, A Stem Above, Blüm Garten and Scarlet Petal.  All proceeds will benefit the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance, to continue its innovative programs and events.  

Guests enjoying the reception throughout the Conservatory can stroll through each room and find available silent auction and raffle items for bid. Guests attending the fashion show at 7:30 p.m. in Horticulture Hall will be greeted by a stunning fashionable floral show in eye-candy colors. Following the fashion show, the reception will continue until 10 p.m. with a post-fashion show meet and greet with the florists and their designs and the winners of the silent auction and raffle items can take home their exciting prizes.  

Catered food and beverage included. Complimentary valet parking included. Cocktail attire is suggested, and wearing flowers is encouraged!

$100 each for reservations for the Fleurotica Reception, which includes complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment featuring music, floral demonstrations, a silent auction and raffles. A meet-and-greet with designers and their fashions will take place after the runway show. Please note that these reservations do not include admission to the runway show.  

SORRY SOLD OUT of$175 each for reservations for both the Fleurotica Reception and the Runway Show, which will take place at 7:30 p.m. Please note that these reservations are limited and will likely sell out quickly. Assigned seating for the runway show will be determined by the order that reservations are purchased. The earlier you purchase your runway reservations, the better seat you will receive. If you would like to sit with friends during the runway show, please purchase your tickets as a group.
